a so-called “Welcome to Country” ceremony at Melbourne’s Anzac day dawn service was (according to the Age newspaper) marred with booing and heckling from a faceless cohort in the crowd. “Event organizers and law enforcement rushed to identify the perpetrators in the dark.” Premier Jacinta Allan called the booing “beyond disrespectful”.
Really? Did Aborigines build the shrine of Remembrance? No. So Why are they hijacking the dawn service and trying to take ownership of the place which is sacred to the memory of the people who fought and died in these stupid wars to keep everyone safe?

I would have booed the whole thing as well. Booooo! I’m doing it now. Get out of here. BOOO! Enough of this. This “Bunurong elder” and his welcome to country has nothing to do with ANZAC day. As far as I know he didn’t fight in any war, and if he or his ancestors did, they should just attend and pay their respects like everyone else. This nonsense has gone too far. It’s disrespectful to the memory of the people who gave their lives so that activists can freely and without any blowback, piss the majority off with their “welcome to country” humiliation rituals.

Stop trying to own everything just because your “ancestors” may have happened to be there, however long ago. They most certainly weren’t the first inhabitants, and this “oldest continual living culture” is meaningless. It’s a mind game to claim some some kind of moral superiority. In all the time they were existing in their “oldest living continual culture” they built nothing.

No resemblance to the fellow below, but the uncle is wearing a kangaroo pelt and a colorful shirt.
Yet they want everything that modern civilization provides, providing zero in return except insulting everyone by “welcoming” them to the place that their forefathers did actually build out of the dust and heat from scratch. It’s fucking outrageous, but people have been brainwashed into thinking that Aborigines are sacred and holy for some bizarre reason. I’m sure they have bush knowledge and other esoteric information that is useful to modern humans.

Welcome to country
True Stone Age people should be studied and accepted for what they are, a throwback to the distant past, and the fact that they are still around, and still living among modern humans is incredible. This cultural Marxist garbage, a lot of it involving mixed race, pretend original inhabitants is just a power grab and a push to become some kind of morally superior “First Nations” master race based something that didn’t exist in the first place.

This morning’s news from the Age is that “Indigenous groups say they have been left dumbfounded and distressed after the Welcome to Country at Melbourne Storm’s Anzac Day NRL match was cancelled at the last minute, hours after neo-Nazis disrupted the ceremony at the city’s dawn service.
Wurundjeri elder Aunty Joy Murphy (sounds Irish) said she had been scheduled to perform the service at AAMI Park on Friday night before the Storm’s clash with the South Sydney Rabbitohs.”

uh oh, trouble in paradise
“We were all just dumbfounded,” she said late on Friday.
“Murphy, who has performed the Welcome to Country at Melbourne events for *years, said the Storm then reversed its position, apologized, and asked her to continue with her ceremony as originally planned. After a lengthy discussion with the other two Indigenous groups, including Djirri Djirri lead dancer Ky-ya Nicholson Ward and Ngā Mātai Pūrua president Tyson Tuala, the First Nations contingent decided not to perform.“After being disrespected, we couldn’t then go forward with a smile on our face and act,” Nicholson Ward said.”
Oh well, according to the Age everyone who is tired of these religious service/ceremonies being inserted into everything is Hitler. Never mind.
Happy Friday.
