Today it’s 43. That’s quite a dramatic change. It’s still the same inside, however. Because this is a brick and granite fortress the temperature stays relatively stable for a while. There ain’t nothin’ much going on today. There was news of a family tragedy this morning. My nephew who was a popular “social media influencer” down under died on Monday, however we are only just finding out about it today. It appears he might have killed himself, but we don’t really know. As you can imagine, this has disturbed the firmament somewhat. The poor lad was only 35. There’s not much I can do about it on this side of the world.

Poor bugger. He was a good kid too.
At least he doesn’t have to live in clown world anymore, so there’s that. I’m currently awaiting the band to show up this morning. Rick’s text said Thursday at 11ish, so they could be here any time. I can’t say I feel like playing music this morning, but I’ll get into it. The pollen outbreak that has now started is making my eyes itch like crazy. Welcome to spring!

The only good news is that my capacitors to fix my keyboard arrived yesterday so after the band rehearsal I might break out the old soldering gun and attempt some repairs. It shouldn’t be too hard, although it’s not something I do very often. Tomorrow is Good Friday the beginning of Easter in the Christian calendar. I’m not particularly religious myself, although I’m not against other people’s beliefs or practices as long as they don’t affect me. I do like southern gospel music however and I like singing it.
I can hear Rick coughing outside, so the band is here. I’ll come back to this.

It sounded pretty good. I’ll try and post something tomorrow. It’s a holiday so I might take a day off, I don’t know yet. When you stop talking about politics there isn’t a lot to comment on apart from what’s happening in your own tiny world.
The Post has a story today about the Artemis Moon trip toilet, “Just hours after the Artemis II mission successfully launched its historic deep space lunar flyby, the four-person crew experienced a problem with the Orion spacecraft’s high-tech toilet.

“The toilet fan is reported to be jammed,” NASA spokesperson Gary Jordan said during live mission commentary, according to Space.com. “Now the ground teams are coming up with instructions on how to get into the fan and clear that area to revive the toilet for the mission.”
This is not the first time toilet problems have plagued outer space. On the International Space Station , past incidents involved clogged toilets caused by air bubbles in the plumbing, which filled the station with foul odors.
Crews addressed these issues by replacing faulty parts like the air/water separator and filters, though some repairs were temporary or required using backup Soyuz transport ship facilities when suction failed. Imagine the smell…

Jon the bass player said today that he knew a guy who was a crane operator who had fished some of the astronauts out of the ocean some time back. Jon said that the guy told him that the aroma when they opened the hatch was very strong and unpleasant. “It would gag a maggot”, he said.
Good Day
